URL to project/event starting point: bit.ly/NSLI-YVirtualEvents Project/event description: The National Security Language Initiative Program (NSLI-Y) sends around 800 high school students to study critical languages abroad every year. Students spend a summer or an academic year in Turkey, Jordan, Russia, Korea and more learning the language and engaging in the culture. Life after NSLI-Y will feature three NSLI-Y alumni from the Hindi, Indonesian and Turkish programs. They will present about what they have been up to since finishing the program and how NSLI-Y has impacted their long-term career and life goals. Chris Schwab, program office from the U.S.State Department will also join the event and share about future State Department career opportunities. This is a great event for anyone interested in language study or applying for NSLI-Y - applications for the 2020-2021 programs are now open!
