This event is asynchronous. Teachers and students may participate ANY TIME during Global Collaboration Week and beyond
Title of event/project:
One Day in our World
Participants should go to this link to start the project. URL to project/event starting point:
The ONE DAY IN OUR WORLD project is suitable for grades K-12 as a starting point for global collaboration. The topics are student-generated to start the interactions, and are intended to promote discussion. We encourage teachers and students to return to the topics to see responses and respond to each other.
As the school year progresses, new topics are added to align with SDGs and current events. Teachers, please feel free to join our project and suggest future topics for collaboration.
Although this project appears for a short time on Global Collaboration Week, it is a way for teachers and students to start a collaboration that may potentially last all year. However, please feel free to join us at any point during GCW to introduce digital citizenship, cultural connections, and online etiquette.
Students will access the online project through flipgrid.com/oneday (to save students logging in with personal info we have it set with a general password: “oneday”)
For further questions or comments, please contact Laura Krenicki, firstname.lastname@example.org
Project/event directions for participation:
Students will generate topics for discussion, so if your students have suggestions, please have them post these in the “ideas” section. Approximately 10-12 topics for discussion will be posted for students to leave responses. Please be sure students return to their posts to see if there were responses to their posts, including questions that may need to be answered.
Ideally, all students will then go on to see other student posts and respond with questions. These questions should promote further discussion.
